Dodd campaign announces New Hampshire press secretary

Released: March 23, 2007

MANCHESTER - Senator Chris Dodd’s campaign announced today Bryan DeAngelis will serve as press secretary for New Hampshire. DeAngelis currently serves as Press Secretary to Congressman Marty Meehan.

"I have watched Bryan rise from a young streetwise organizer from the neighborhood to a savvy political talent with statewide and national experience," said Congressman Meehan. "I am proud and fortunate to have had him by my side all of these years working in both my district and Washington offices, as well as on my campaigns. He will bring a strong set of skills and great relationships with the media to Senator Dodd's campaign. I am sad to see him move on, but am confident that his strong political instincts, sharp mind and unparalleled work ethic will make him a great addition to Senator Dodd's team."

Prior to joining Meehan’s staff, DeAngelis served as Deputy Press Secretary for Tom Reilly’s 2006 gubernatorial campaign in Massachusetts. DeAngelis also has New Hampshire primary experience, having worked as a regional field coordinator for John Kerry in 2004.

"Bryan is going to play a vital role in this campaign, and we’re excited to have him aboard," said Dodd campaign senior advisor Maura Keefe. "He comes with important New Hampshire campaign experience that will help Senator Dodd build strong relationships in the Granite State."

DeAngelis, a Massachusetts native, is a graduate of Boston College.
